[EFL 소식] EFL 1.0/1.2/1.6 베타 배포 (2012.04.21)

안녕하세요? 천재태지 서주영입니다.
지난 달 EFL 1.0/1.2/1.6 알파 버전이 배포[1]된 후 약 한 달 만에 베타 버전이 배포되었습니다. 아마 며칠 내에는 정식 버전이 배포될 것 같습니다. 드디어 기다리고 기다리던 elementary 1.0 정식 버전이 나오는군요 ^^
공식 웹사이트에 올라온 공지[2]를 간단히 번역해봤습니다. 지난 공지랑 한 단어(알파 -> 베타)만 다르고 내용이 같네요 :)

여러 Enlightenment 컴포넌트의 새로운 베타 버전을 배포합니다. 이번에는 Eio, Ethumb, Emotion, Elementary가 추가되었습니다.

Emotion은 Gstreamer, Xine 혹은 다른 외부 플러그인(VLC)을 이용하여 비디오를 재생해주고 비디오를 Evas의 일반적인 오브젝트처럼 출력해주는 라이브러리입니다. 물론 오디오도 재생할 수 있습니다. Eio는 emotion에 비동기 입출력 기능을 제공하기 위해 추가되었습니다.
Ethumb은 freedesktop.org 썸네일 표준을 지원하는 썸네일 생성 라이브러리입니다. dbus 서비스와 클라이언트 측 라이브러리로 구현되었습니다.
Elementary는 다른 EFL라이브러리를 사용하는 새로운 위젯 모음입니다. GUI 어플리케이션을 쉽게 작성하도록 표준 위젯을 제공합니다.

New EFL release cycle 1.0/1.2/1.6 BETA

We'd like to announce a new release cycle beta release of several Enlightenment components. This round we have added Eio, Ethumb, Emotion and Elementary.

Emotion is a library to handle video playback using Gstreamer, Xine or other external plugins (VLC) and display video in Evas as a standard object. It also can handle audio playback too. Eio is here to support Emotion with async IO API's.

Ethumb is a thumbnail generator library that supports the freedesktop.org thumbnailing standards, and is implemented as a dbus service and a client-side library that handles dealing with that service for you.

Elementary is our new widget set, built on top of the rest of EFL, to provide you with standard widgets and behaviour to make it easy to write GUI applications.
